The whole preparation is broken into three phases. You are never guessing what to do this week.

Foundation phase
Build the conceptual base across every static subject before you write a single Mains answer. No shortcuts, NCERT level upward.

- I assign you a fixed set of NCERT and standard book chapters with a deadline.
- You get short notes, video lectures and topic summaries to support the reading.
- You send me a daily update. I adjust the pace when you slip.
- Every completed assignment ends with a 50-question MCQ test on those exact chapters.
- I clear every doubt, then release the next assignment.
A low score in these tests is fine. The test exists to show you what UPSC can ask from a chapter, not to grade you.

Mains-oriented phase
You stop reading and start writing. This is where most aspirants get stuck alone for years.
- Structured note-making taught properly, because notes are the backbone of revision.
- Answer writing training: structure, introduction, body, conclusion, keywords, diagrams, value addition.
- You write the last five years of PYQs across major Mains topics. We discuss them on call.
- Topper copy analysis, so you reverse-engineer what a high-scoring answer actually looks like.
- Optional subject selection based on your background, interest and scoring potential.

Revision phase
The final sprint. Consolidation, speed, accuracy and exam-day temperament.

About Sagar
I finished my engineering degree in 2018 and moved to Delhi to prepare, at Vajiram & Ravi. Between 2018 and 2023 I sat for the Civil Services Examination five times.
Those years taught me this exam from the inside. Not the syllabus, everyone has the syllabus. What preparation actually feels like month after month, where it quietly breaks, and how much of it is discipline rather than intelligence. My own study was always Mains-first: analytical, structured, built around clarity and articulation.
For close to three years now, mentoring has been my full-time work. In that time my students have cleared Prelims, reached the Interview stage, and taken up Group A posts in state services. Alongside the mentorship, 1.8 lakh aspirants follow my daily content on Instagram.
My job is simple: to make sure no one walks this path alone, the way I once did.
The daily check-in, the honest feedback, the refusal to take a large batch, all of it comes from the same place. Guidance only works when the person giving it is actually paying attention to you.
Common questions
Is this a course with recorded lectures?
No. This is one-to-one mentorship. You get study material and lectures as support, but the actual product is personal guidance, tracking and feedback from me.
How do we stay in touch?
WhatsApp is the primary channel. Assignments, notes, tests, solutions and feedback all come there. On top of that there are weekly calls whenever you need one.
I am a working professional. Can I do this?
Yes. The full-time timetable in the plan assumes nine hours a day, and that clearly will not apply to you. The phases stay the same, the pace and the daily targets get rebuilt around your actual free hours. Tell me your schedule on WhatsApp and I will tell you honestly whether it is workable.
What if I score badly in the MCQ tests?
That is expected, especially early. The test is there to show you what UPSC can ask from a chapter you just read. Exposure is the benefit. Marks at that stage tell us very little.
Do you help with the optional subject?
Yes. Choosing the optional is part of Phase 2, and the choice is made on your background, your interest and its scoring potential, not on what is trending.
Do I have to pay for a full year in advance?
No. It is Rs. 2,500 per month, paid on your admission date each month. If it is not working for you, you stop.
What do you expect from me?
A daily update, honesty about what you actually completed, and consistency. Six to eight steady hours every day beats a fourteen-hour burst followed by three days of burnout. If you cannot report daily, this will not work.
